The brains behind Octopus belong to Rick Torcasso, Mark Heiden and Scott Savage. If their names are familiar, it’s because the three of them have been radio trailblazers for a collective 85 years.

Rick Torcasso’s career includes experience as a program director, general manager, senior-level corporate exec, station owner and direct marketing guru.

Mark Heiden brought his Wharton Business School education to bear on the advertising agency business as well as media sales and radio station management in various senior-level exec positions.

In 1998, Torcasso and Heiden founded Point-To-Point Marketing, known throughout the radio industry for its high-impact direct marketing campaigns.

Scott Savage is the consummate radio guy. He’s served as VP/GM of several major-market radio stations, launched FOX Sports Radio Network and ran Pinnacle Broadcasting. We could go on, but you get the drift.

These days, Savage heads Savage Media Group, where he applies his 33 years of radio savvy to helping radio station clients nationwide through strategic consulting and management services.

Torcasso, Heiden and Savage are the reason Octopus is so perfectly suited to the radio station business model. These guys get it.
